Holy Shift! Navigating the Dark Night

Blog Series Launch

The dark night of the soul is a season of profound disorientation, when the familiar scaffolding of faith, meaning, and certainty collapses. It is the midnight of the spirit, when prayers feel hollow, maps no longer guide us, and the light seems to vanish. Yet the dark night is not a punishment—it is a passage. Beneath the unraveling lies a sacred invitation: to let illusions fall away so that something truer can emerge.

Many of us have walked through it personally, and now humanity itself is entering a collective dark night. Indeed, the same process that transforms an individual—loss, surrender, awakening—can unfold on a global scale. Institutions falter, economies wobble, and the stories we told ourselves about progress and permanence reveal themselves to be illusions. In this shared midnight, we are invited to listen for whispers of resilience and to carry the small lights that keep hope alive.

This series is an invitation to walk together through that threshold, naming our losses honestly and discovering how the darkness itself can become the womb of transformation.

This journey will unfold in a series of posts, each one a stage through the dark night:

1. The Unraveling: When the scaffolding collapses and the old maps fail.
2. The Silence: When prayers feel hollow and God seems absent.
3. The Stripping: When attachments fall away and identities dissolve.
4. The Waiting: When we learn to endure without answers.
5. The Dawn: When new light emerges, not as a return to the illusions of the past, but as a transformation into a truer, more real life.

This launch is not the journey itself but the doorway. Let’s walk stage by stage through the dark night, carrying the flashlight of resilience and hope, and discovering together how even the deepest night can become the threshold of dawn.

Coming Soon: The Unraveling.
